9ice celebrates his twin daughters’ 7th birthday (photos)

Singer, Abolore Akande popularly known as 9ice has taken to his Instagram page to celebrate his twins daughter’s, Hazeeza and Hadiza as they turn 7 today, 31st January.

He wrote; “The girls are 7…..Alhamdulilahi. Happy birthday�������”

The Gongo Aso crooner welcomed them with his Abuja based-baby mama, Victoria Goddis after his breakup with Toni Payne in 2011 even though he denied them initially.

9ice in a recent chat revealedthat he intends to expand his horizon and further stated that there is no crime if he makes the decision to have more kids with any of his current babymama.

The singer said…

“The reports are not true that I am expecting my fifth child from another woman. I have no idea where the report came from, but the truth is that in Nigeria, especially in Yorubaland, there is an adage that says that you don’t count a man’s children for him.

“To have more children is not a crime, but the sad thing is that people would believe what they want to believe. I am currently in the studio working on new songs and I am also promoting my new song, ‘Ebami’, but no one would write about that. All they know is to peddle false news about me.”

Recently, the singer who already has 4 children with three different women was reportedly expecting a 5th child from a lady identified as Olori Oluwayemisi, who is a a skin care expert and runs Zenics Skincare in Lekki, Lagos. It later turned out to be a rumor that had no element of truth as the singer came out to deny the allegation.

9ice was living with Olasunkanmi Ajala who is the mother of his 4th child, Michelle as at 2015. The singer was married to Toni Payne in 2008 before the spitted up in 2010. Their union produced a son named Zion. The singer welcomed a set of twin daughters with another lady Victoria Olubukola Godis in 2011.


Church asks members to postpone valentine’s day because of Ash Wednesday

The Catholic diocese of Birmingham in Alabama, US has advised its parishioners to postpone their Valentines’ Day celebration because it falls on Ash Wednesday. The church also gave the parishioners the option of celebrating Valentine’s a day prior on February 13.

Robert J Baker, head of the Catholic diocese of Birmingham, made this known in a letter addressed to the church members.

In the letter, Baker stated the importance of Ash Wednesday and the reason why a dispensation from standard laws of fast and abstinence would not be granted.

He wrote: “For the first time since 1945, Valentine’s day falls this year on Ash Wednesday. Some have wondered whether a dispensation from the standard laws of fast and abstinence would be granted.

How Anambra beggars make N25,000 daily using abducted children

The police in Anambra State on Tuesday arrested two suspects who allegedly used abducted children for alms begging in Onitsha to make N25,000 daily from the act.

The two suspects identified as Friday Edet and Ezekiel Ubong, both from Akwa Ibom State had since been detained at the Onitsha prisons, claimed to be members of a humanitarian group.

They confessed that they made N25,000 daily by parading children with different kinds of ailment and using them for alms begging.

They were arrested by the Fegge division of the Nigeria Police Force. Confirming the story, the Fegge Divisional Police Officer, Mr. Rabiu Garba said the suspects were notorious for using abducted children for alms begging in locations different from their states after inflicting injuries and ailments on them to attract public sympathy.
