news in nigeria

For the Newbies, the KFB movie review is an every Friday column that
gives you a cinema guide on which movies to watch and not watch!

Today’s review is done by

Synopsis: At a getaway event, a group of malicious women are met with challenging trials that each must confront or succumb to.

Starring:  Kate Henshaw, Omoni Oboli, Ufuoma Mcdermott, Kalu Ikeagwu, Femi Branch

Verdict: Enjoyable. Exciting. And genuinely funny. ‘The
Women’ scores! While it isn’t extraordinary, it gets the job done and
gets it done very well; you will be entertained. There are no regrets to
be had here; ‘The Women’ is a perfect example of Nollywood playing to
its strengths. With deliberate simplicity, bouts of intense acting and
some well-thought-out, common-sense-making comedy; ‘The Women’ is
explosive drama, just the way we like it. You will come out happy.

Movie Review: Omoni Oboli's 'Love is war' arrives Netflix...

So, if the cinema is on your plate this weekend and Nollywood is your
thing, you can’t go wrong with ‘The Women’. We had a lot of fun seeing
it; a lot of fun.

Recommended. It was worth every penny.
