Amnesty International, who expressed concern over reports of human rights violation during clash between the Nigerian Army and IPOB members in Abia State, also disclosed they’re already investigating the incident.
They took to their twitter handle and wrote:
Recall that Nnamdi Kanu has earlier written to the UN, EU, US, Russia and France to come to his aid!
Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of IPOB is agitating for a referendum for the Igbo people to succeed from Nigeria!
Coming after the Defence HQ declared IPOB a militant terrorist group, after the violence that erupted in Aba, Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, who talked about the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) who
he described as an internal threat in an interview with journalists in
New York yesterday September 15th, said the Nigerian Government won’t be
needing foreign help to curtail it.
According to him, Boko Haram is an international threat but IPOB is NOT! He said this is because the group pleged allegiance to ISIS!
“IPOB is, as of
now, an internal threat and Nigeria does not need international
assistance to resolve it. Boko Haram is not an internal threat; it is an
international threat. When the group pledged allegiance to the Islamic
State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS), it became international threat.” he said
Outspoken Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, has spoken out about IPOB saying, Igbos shouldn’t let Nnamdi Kanu deceive them.
Father Mbaka speaking in Igbo, condemned the way young Igbo business men are being killed all the name of Biafra agitation..
allow anybody deceive you that igbo people are being marginalized in
Nigerian .why are we believing in nonsense, telling the poor men and
women to be the one agitating for Biafra,
Am not saying that
agitating for Biafra is a bad idea but let all the big men and the
powerful men of igbo land come let all of us go for this agitation then
our young in the street agitating will be at our back support us ,
because the prayer of a good father is his children to be greater...
