KFB Foodie Talk: How to make Corn Lettuce Salad


For our newbies, the KFB foodie talk column – handled by Dobby of Dobbysignature –  is basically for ladies and ‘guys’ that are interested in learning how to cook better  ;).

is one leafy veggie that is so easy to overlook. For most people,
adding one or two leaves in a sandwich is just about it. This time, i
decided to use it as the main ingredient in this salad which means it’d
make more in than 60% of the whole ingredients. I’ve always loved simple
salads like this tasty corn lettuce salad which comprises of corn,
lettuce and a handful of several other ingredients such as tomato,
cucumber & onion. Throw in some egg slices and you’re good to go.
It’s really healthy and very sumptuous too. You can have it alone
drizzled with some salad dressing or as a side with a main meal. Enjoy!

How to make corn lettuce salad:::
• Prep Time:
15 minutes
• Total Time: 15 minutes
• Servings :   6

• 12 cups torn lettuce leaves
• 4 hard boiled eggs
• 3 plum tomatoes – quartered 
• 1 cup sweet corn
• 1 medium sized cucumber – chopped
• 1 red onion – chopped
• 1 carrot – grated 
• Salad dressing – As desired
Step 1: In a salad bowl, combine the lettuce, egg, tomatoes,
sweet corn, cucumber, onion and carrot together and mix together then
place in a refrigerator to chill.
Step 2: To serve, dish out the portions into bowls and drizzle with salad dressing
