The much anticipated 65th
Annual Convention of the Redeemed Christian Church of God themed Halleluyah has
come and gone, however, many are yet to recover from its impact on their lives,
families, businesses, career, including Nigeria.
Several souls were saved,
many were healed as on one particular night God promised to heal more than 65,000
people, many also received deliverance from captivities and afflictions. Indeed
God did things not seen before. The 65th convention is one never to
be forgotten in the history of RCCG.
The convention was indeed
one to praise and thank God for what He has done, what He is doing and what He
is still going to do. Every morning of the convention, several people woke up
to partake in the Morning Prayer walk round the old auditorium to pray and intercede.
1. A
total of 106 babies (60 boys and 46 girls) were born from Monday 7th,
the beginning of the convention to Sunday 14th, the climax of the
convention.
2.
The Friday night was a night of multiple
highpoints witnessed by Acting President Yemi Osinbajo, state governors,
including Godwin Obaseki of Edo, Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom, Samuel Ortom of
Benue and others top political office holders, top traditional leaders, and
many other dignitaries.
3.
The old arena was almost full even without
the physical presence of Daddy G.O and the completed section of the new
auditorium on the Friday night of the convention.
4.
Every single day of the convention was witnessed with amazing miracles and outstanding testimonies. On Thursday morning, Jaw
dropping miracles as crippled and paralytic started walking after a plenary session
taken by `Rev. Moses Arisinola, when he gave insight on the meaning and potency
of “Halleluyah”.
5.
Pastor E.A. Adeboye revealed a secret to
the congregants: God had instructed Rev Akindayomi to make a short wooden staff
to be blessed; and to be handed over to his successor. He further stated that
the staff had been given to him years ago but God ordered that it should be
used sparingly: he was going to use it at the Convention for three special
prayers.
6.
The traffic in the camp was adequately
coordinated throughout the convention as there was easy access for people
walking and vehicles both personal and commercial plying several routes of the
redemption camp.
7.
Pastor E.A. Adeboye revealed the theme of
the December HolyGhost Congress and 2018 HolyGhost convention of the mission. “Songs
of victory” and “Dominion” respectively.
8. On
the last day of the convention, the congregants were implored to prepare for
heaven in a theme: “When we get to Heaven” as what matters most is singing
Halleluyah with the host of heaven to God in Heaven and not just here on earth.
