Amina was among the school girls infamously kidnapped by Boko Haram in 2014 while she was 17 years old.
Amina was rescued near Sambisa Forest, government sources and activists have told SaharaReporters earlier today.
According to army authorities, she reported that six of the girls
have died, others have been married off commanders of Boko Haram and
that the girls are still in the Sambisa Forest at this time.
Amina was found in the Kulakeita area in the company of her Boko
Haram husband, and was immediately rescued by vigilantes who handed her
over to Nigerian troops in Damboa.
It is to be noted that the military insists that the name of the girl
is “Falmata Mbalala” while #BringBackOurGirls activists confirm it is
Amina.
Amina is from the Mbalala community, near Chibok.
She is currently on her way to the Borno capital, Maiduguri, where the governor will receive her.
