Popular Yoruba actress, Folashade Omoniyi-Adewale, better known as Lepa Shandy
had her ‘A Day With Lepa Shandy'(Birthday & Movie launch) event,
yesterday, April 10, 2016 at Blue Roof, LTV 8, Agidingbi, Lagos.

The event which  also featured an award segment held at De Blue Roof,
LTV 8, Agidingbi, Alausa,Ikeja,Lagos, and it was well attended,
especially by the colleagues of the talented thespian.
However, the event started behind schedule. The current fuel scarcity was said to be responsible for its late take off.

Among the dignitaries who graced the occasion were former Lagos first
Lady, Dame Abimbola Fashola, a couple of law makers and traditional

Lepa Shandy’s colleagues, including   Iya Awero, Hakeem Rahman,
Ronke Oshodi Oke, Nike Peller, Deji Etiwe, Sunday Adewale, Kemi
Ogunbiyi, Liz Idowu, Yomi Fash Lanso, Funke Etti, Tayo Sobola aka Sotayo, Esther Igbekele and top Fuji musicians, Adewale Ayuba and Sefiu Alao Adekunle were there too.

Bereaved mother reveals how some cruel Soldiers stomped her 20 months old baby to death (photo)

Soldiers from the 4th Brigade, Benin, Edo State attached to Presco Oil
Plc, Ovre-Eku, in Ethiope East Local Government Area, Delta State have
been accused of stomping a 20 month old baby to death during an early
morning raid at Eku community.

Recounting her ordeal to Niger Delta Voice,
mother of the baby, Mrs. Maureen Atori, explained that she was in bed
with her husband, Mr. Collins Atori when the door to their apartment was
smashed open by a team of angry looking soldiers and policemen who
tried to forcefully take her husband away.
