So last night, the BenTV awards held in Lagos and Nollywood actress Toyin Aimakhu won two awards – the ‘Best Actress’ and ‘Best Movie’ awards.

Police Division headquarters, Obalende on fire (photos)

The Police Division Headquarters,
Kam Salem House in Obalende, Lagos is currently on fire.
Details surrounding the cause of the
fire are still sketchy but it started from one of the offices in the Division
Headquarters and spread to other areas.
Firefighters have reportedly arrived the scene.

Lagos Police defend power-drunk cop who brutalized couple

A few days ago, the photo of a
couple who were brutalized by a policeman in Ikoyi went viral with the
Police I.G ordering a full scale investigation into the issue.
Punch now reports thus:
police in Lagos have said the 29-year-old photographer, Ejeh Smith, who
was brutalized by a policeman attached to the Ikoyi Police Division
along with his wife, Grace, was drunk on the night of the incident.
The police authorities added that the couple engaged the policeman in a
scuffle, adding that since the incident happened, they had refused to
make statements to the police.

Touching story of how Woman gave birth while in Boko Haram captivity

A Nigerian woman, now a mother, has revealed how she survived in the Boko Haram camp to the BBC.

She was
