Kemi Oyedepo is the first daughter-in-law of Bishop Oyedepo (she is married to David Oyedepo Jnr)…her first daughter, Blessing, clocked plus one today and she shared a beautiful prayer on her Facebook page to mark the birthday 🙂
Today is my dear daughter’s birthday!!! God is faithful
If you have seen some of my conversations with her, you will agree that
she is an exceptional child! Truly Luke 2:40 has been her testimony.
She has been a practical expression of her name – BLESSING! Below is a
recent conversation that took place. If you can, wish my one and only
baby girl a happy birthday!
A few days ago, she was playing a game on an iPad and she asked me to join her. I did but I was not getting it right
and she got frustrated and said “mummy, use your mind to think”. I
laughed and said “ok, sorry” and continued. I still wasn’t getting it
right then she said “ok mummy, I don’t think you should use your mind.
You have the mind of Christ, so use His mind and you will get it right”!
As always,
that scripture “And that from a child thou hast known the holy
scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through
faith which is in Christ Jesus” (2 Timothy 3:1), came to my mind. I
couldn’t help but give her a kiss and a big hug!
Its a fact that
whatever is inside of you must come out! Soak your children in The Word
and no situation will seem too small for them to engage that same Word!
Blessing Oyedepo!!! Your light will not go out in obscurity!
God, who has kept you for us and for your generation, will keep His hand
upon you and ensure that you fulfil destiny in grand style. You will
stand out among your peers. Keep answering to you name, my love!! Your
best years are ahead of you!!!
And then she shared this message with parents...
If you really want your child(ren) to thrive, you must see it as your
responsibility to create the right environment for them. The condition
of the soil determines the outcome of the seed. Take control of the
temperature in your marital home so your children can be groomed and
nurtured in a stable and secure setting. The strength of your marriage
is the strength of the family therefore ensure it remains strong. If you
are a single for any reason, you are not exempted. You can still rely
on God to help you raise exceptional children. Others have done it, so
can you!
She also shared a concise message with Singles…
Dear single,
If that man or woman is disrespecting you and has no value for you,
they feel as though they are doing you a favour by staying with you, you
don’t agree on major issues of life (your faith, handling finances,
children, dealing with inlaws, etc), please run for your dear life.
Things will not get better in the marriage, they will only get worse.
It’s not a curse but a fact. It’s better to be single with peace of mind
(the absence of stress, anxiety, etc) than to be married with
conflicts, disagreements, strife, etc. such things divert your focus and
they take a toll on your body and your mind. Marriage is not by force.
Be wise and save yourself from any unnecessary headache and heartache!
