Earlier this week, it was reported that the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Samuel Odulana who clocked 100 years on April 14 this year, was dead.
Although, the rumour of his death had been dismissed, it was gathered that he had been hospitalised for days at the University College Hospital, Ibadan.One of the high chiefs who confided in Vanguard said the Oba

recuperating from a surgery he underwent on Sunday.

It was also gathered that the monarch underwent surgery for a urinary ailment.
UCH spokesman Mr Toye Akinrinlola also confirmed that the monarch was admitted at the hospital. He said he was hale and hearty.
It was learnt that the monarch had been taking ill regularly before he was admitted for surgery.
Oba Odulana was enthroned on August 17, 2007.
