Ireland got a wedding day fit for a princess when she tied the knot with the
Crown Prince of Lagos in County Armagh yesterday.
Prince Mustapha Oniru of Lagos, the last son of sectional traditional ruler in Lagos State, Oba Abiodun Oniru, walked down the aisle with his 27 year old white bride, Kristy Crooks, in Northern Island yesterday.
The Prince’s parents Oba (King) Idowu Abiodun Oniru and Queen Olori
Arike Oniru attended the service in Loughgall Presbyterian Church which
was conducted by Rev Philip McKelvey.
The royal couple are due to travel
to Monaco and then St Tropez for their honeymoon, but plan to set up a
base in Northern Ireland.
Kirsty met Mustapha while teaching at the
British International School, which is owned by Oba Oniru. Mustapha who just finished a Masters Degree in Marketing, is the
school administrator.
Oh by the way, Oba Oniru is the same oba who tried to bestow a chieftancy title on Governor Fashola
of Lagos state last year but the latter rejected the title.
