Last night at Mike Adenuga Tower on Adeola
Odeku street in Victoria Island, Globacom boss Mike Adenuga walked out on his staff.
Mike Adenuga turned 60 on Monday April 29th, however, hundreds of staff of telecoms giant
Globacom had gathered at the lounge situated on the ground floor of the
office building to celebrate with their chairman yesterday.
The SURPRISE party however ended on a sour note – and this is why:
Earlier on Thursday, a text message
was passed round the office inviting the members of staff to a
surprise birthday bash with their boss that evening…
So, everyone gathered that evening for the party, Okey Bakassi was the MC, and everything was falling in place until Mike arrived – he arrived around 8pm.
Mike Adenuga showed up in his Range Rover bullet
proof SUV around 8pm, greeted people at the entrance of
the lounge but was taken aback when people started cheering loudly
as he entered the lounge.
They actually hailed “happy birthday” – he hadn’t expected it.
My source at the event exclusively tells me that Mike was not informed of the birthday party, he was tricked into attending the event – he was given the impression that he was attending a meeting not a party…so on getting to the lounge and seeing everyone, he was kinda disappointed, thus he
immediately turned around and left the lounge.
He got into his car and
left…after the members of staff waited for more than an hour, it dawned on them that their boss was not going to come back so they had to leave!

produced four songs on the DKM album coming out soon. I remember when I
was in America and they were mastering a song and I heard the one
featuring Fally Ipupa which was produced by Don Jazzy and I was like
wow! I called him immediately and he picked up. I said listen to what
I’m hearing, this is a music you produced. So don’t get it twisted like I
said, love is a beautiful thing.
