Okonjo Iweala’s mother has been kidnapped!
82 year old Professor Kanene Okonjo,  mother of the
Minister of Finance, Okonjo-Iweala, was on Sunday abducted at
the gate of the palace of the traditional ruler of Ogwashi-Uku, Delta
State, Prof. Chukwuka Okonjo, who is her husband.
She was abducted at 1.47pm by a gang of armed men who seized
her at the gate of the palace at Ogbe-ofu and took her away, when her
husband travelled out of the town.
The kidnappers, numbering about 10, were
said to be lurking around the palace until the woman and her maid came
down to offer some drinks to workers at the gate.
Eyewitness said as soon as the woman
came down from the main building, towards the gate, the criminals also
moved in from the gate to grab and push her into a waiting Golf
Volkswagen car.
Local media report that one of them went
upstairs to collect the woman’s handbag.
State Police Public Relations Officer,
Mr. Charles Muoka, who confirmed the kidnap on Sunday, said the police had collected information that
would be useful enough to track down the kidnappers.
Her husband, Obi Chukwuka Okonjo, a retired professor of Economics, is the traditional ruler of Ogwashi-Uku.
The kidnappers are yet to make contact with the family of their victim.
To be candid, our government only responds to problems if
people in government start having the same problem.
Now that the mother of GEJ’s most powerful minister has
been kidnapped, maybe , just maybe the reality of how unsafe our country
is will dawn on them!!!

JMartins and Goldie in Coldwar over video shooting

This story is kinda funny to me...
All Knowing Blogger, Linda Ikeji has disclosed that Renowned musicians Goldie and JMartins are currently engaged in a cold war, following the video shooting of the song they both did 'Give it to me'.
This was how it started; Goldie had invited J Martins to South Africa in November to appear in the video of the 'Give it to me song'.
While embarking on his flight, J Martins asked for business class but Goldie said she couldn't afford it.
When J Martins finally got to the airport, he was shocked to find that Goldie hadn't come to welcome him so he refused to follow the man Goldie sent to the airport to pick him up. He refused with claims that he didn't want to be kidnapped!
Anyways, they sorted that out but then again, J Martins refused to...

So far, Jonathan has spent N3.3bn on his 2012 Foreign trips!!!

This is a case of thriving at the expense of the masses! Regrettably, Jonathan's administration is no longer evincing any hope! You would not believe that President and his entourage have spent not less than N3.354bn on foreign trips since 2010.

According to Punch, in the first 11 months of 2012, the President had travelled out of the country at least 20 times, including his trip to Sierra Leone in October and the D8 Summit he attended in Pakistan in November.
In September alone, Jonathan travelled out of the country four times. He travelled to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia for a two-day visit on September 1 for the burial of late Prime Minister Meles Zenawi.
Nine days later, he went to Malawi and Botswana in a cumulative three-day...
