Goodluck Jonathan explains how and why his brother died

Meni jonathan, younger brother of president Jonathan who died on Tuesday, will be buried on December 7.

This was disclosed by the head of the Esosi family, Nitabai Inegite, who spoke with reporters after a family meeting that ended about 6.30pm yesterday in Otuoke, the president’s hometown in Bayelsa State.

The Esosi is one of the family lines in Otuoke, Ogbia Local Government Area of the state.

Inegite said, “Meni was a Christian before he died and he will be buried 18 days within the time of his death according to Christian rites and we the family members have arranged that he be buried on December 7.”

He revealed that the deceased was battling a liver problem before he was taken to Abuja on the orders of the president for proper diagnosis and treatment.

Meni Jonathan, 45, died on Tuesday as President Jonathan marked his 55th birthday.
