My dear readers…sleep!

 My Dear
Readers,

I really hate to announce this but I will be embarking on a 3days leave to attend
to some urgent matters! I will tell you all about it as soon I get back on
Monday!
So with that, I’m leaving you this beautiful poem ‘Sleep’ written by Simi Famutimi
Someday-maybe soon, we’ll sleep not to wake up again
We suddenly ll slip away 4m d hands of those dat love us
Our scene in life’s drama would suddenly come to an end
Even wit our eyes opened we ll see notin but darkness
Our sins would become pills 4 sickly mouths
And our feats would gain d popularity we never enjoyed when we could walk with our feet
Soon we become meals 2 rodents as we return to our alma mata
Tears will only last 4 nights but Joy will come after the mourning.
I think of this day & I fear one thing
I think & fear what He will say
Would He Smile at me because bcos I towed the mile
Or would He be sad because I smeared His name
Would He yell at me and show me d way to hell
Or would He welcome me to drink 4m His everlastin well
I was told my good works would not even grant me access 2 His presence
Neither will my acts of charity qualify me for eternity
Rather I was told dat to see Him I must flee sin
To reign wit Him I must remain wit Him without feign
I was told that the choice of my place of rest rested with me
To live happily after I must make my now count
Since we dont get to have a second chance
Our time gets to start now bcos sincerely, than yestrday, we are closer to this reality today.

Yours truly
Kemi Filani
