British man, Tony Nicklinson who has being battling a
legal tussle for the court to grant his doctors to help him die has
passed after contracting pneumonia.
For the past seven years Mr Nicklinson has not been able to move
anything apart from his head and eyes following a severe stroke while on
a business trip to Athens. His only means of communication is via a
computer triggered by blinks and head movements.
The ‘Locked-in syndrome’ sufferer was on Monday found dead at his home, just a week after he lost his High Court bid to end his own life with a doctor’s help.
Just hours before his death was announced by his legal team, a final
message had been posted on Twitter feed which read “Goodbye world the
time has come, I had some fun.”
The 58-year-old’s family said he died at around 10am this morning,
after contracting pneumonia. No further details were issued about the
circumstances of Mr Nicklinson’s death.

You know, this story kinda reminds me of the Bollywood movie Guzaarish, whose storyline revolves around a magician who desperately wanted to die after having been paralyzed!
