Teenager kills eight people with knife in China

A Chinese teenager has killed eight people and wounded another five in a knife attack in the country’s northeast.

killing spree occurred at about 9 p.m in Yongling township in Xinbin
Manchu autonomous county in the city of Fushun, the Fushun city's
publicity department said in a statement.
The 17-year-old suspect,
a native of Xinfu district in downtown Fushun, stabbed to death two
relatives of his girlfriend after having conflicts with his girlfriend,
an initial investigation showed.
The teenager, surnamed Li, killed another six people and injured five while fleeing the scene, it said.
The killer has been held by police.
A further investigation into the killing is under way...This is really saddening.


Bomb scare in Abuja church

A bomb scare was on Thursday morning recorded at Dunamis Church in Nyanya, Abuja.

According to the punch newspaper, a blast rocked the church around 10a.m.
However, a police officer at Nyanya Police Station said no such explosion was recorded, adding that it was just a scare.
The Deputy Force Public Relations, Mr. Frank Mba, also said “There was
no blast at Nyanya. I’ve just spoken with the Nyanya DPO and I’m trying
to get in touch with the DPO of Mararaba,” .
Also, the spokesman for
the National Emergency Management Agency, Yushau Shuaibu, debunked the
rumour, saying “NEMA has denied speculations about a bomb explosion in
Nyanya, Abuja. Members of the public are advised to ignore such
