Pastor Tunde Bakare has done it again by blasting Goodluck Jonathan while preaching in his church on Sunday.
Despite the fact that Men of the State Intelligence Bureau of the Nigeria Police have summoned him, for his supposed ‘controversial sermon’ against President Goodluck Jonathan some days before, the pastor still went ahead to sing against the president.
Mr. Bakare, who heads the Latter Rain Assembly, began on a musical
note, imploring the congregation to join him in singing a popular
Pentecostal retreat song that inserted “Jonathan” into the lyrics.
“Let
us carry Jesus up and throw Jonathan away. Up, up Jesus; down, down
Jonathan,” the pastor proclaimed, warming into his sermon this Sunday. (hehehe#)
Bakare, the running mate to the presidential candidate of the Congress
for Progressive Change (CPC), Maj.-Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, in the last
general election was billed to honour the invitation but had left the
country on Wednesday.
He was summoned for saying:
“We have vampires whose assignment is to kill Nigeria and to make sure
that Nigeria does not exist thereafter. Suddenly Nigeria that was that
cheered now has clueless, shoeless people take over the administration
of Nigeria. President Jonathan is on a mission to bankrupt and balkanise
Nigeria.”
“President Jonathan is dancing to the drumbeat of
destiny…his destiny is to bankrupt Nigeria. He has the full support of
corporate cowboys and oil vultures. It is clear that Nigeria is a nation under
divine judgment. We need a cleansing in this land and if we do not stand up now
to do what we ought to do, there may not be 2015 for Nigerians.”
While addressing a news conference
in Lagos on Sunday over the bribery scandal involving Hon. Farouk Lawan and Mr.
Femi Otedola, Pastor Bakare really didn’t have nice things to say about either
of Lawan or Otedola, and nothing sweet for President Jonathan as well.
